Known as Tempranillo in Spain, it is also known in Portugal as Tinta Roriz.<\/p>\n<p>On the Set\u00fabal Peninsula, it occupies approximately 300 hectares and its ripening occurs as a general rule, one week before the grape varietal Castel\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Characteristics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>It is an early-maturing grape varietal, vigorous and productive, and easily adaptable to different climates and soils, although it prefers hot and dry climates and sandy or calcareous-clay soils.<\/li>\n<li>If its robustness is controlled, it produces full-bodied, but elegant and very aromatic wines.<\/li>\n<li>The varietal\u2019s aromas suggest plum, prune, wild fruits, spices and sometimes liquorice, becoming more complex as it develops.<\/li>\n<li>Though it is often used in batch wines, it is also used with great success in mono-varietal wines (only one grape varietal), and it is already a brand image for some wineries in the region.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","castas_category":[29],"class_list":["post-3251","castas","type-castas","status-publish","hentry","castas_category-red"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas\/3251","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/castas"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas\/3251\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":4823,"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas\/3251\/revisions\/4823"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3251"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"castas_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas_category?post=3251"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
