This grape varietal nearly became extinct during the last century owing to the extreme difficulty in ensuring a good production volume. This lead to the planting of other varietals during this period.<\/p>\n<p>Characteristics:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Its bunches are small and compact, with round berries that have a pink hue and are extremely sweet.<\/li>\n<li>Similarly to the Moscatel de Set\u00fabal, this varietal has a rich aromatic profile, and is an unequivocal element in the flavour and aroma characteristics of the wines created from it.<\/li>\n<li>Compared with wines from the Moscatel de Set\u00fabal varietal, this fortified wine has a drier and more complex aroma, but one which is no less rich, as the taste exceeds the expectations created by the aroma, displaying a refined bouquet where spices, sour cherry and fig jams are highlighted.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":0,"template":"","castas_category":[29],"class_list":["post-3248","castas","type-castas","status-publish","hentry","castas_category-red"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas\/3248","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/castas"}],"version-history":[{"count":1,"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas\/3248\/revisions"}],"predecessor-version":[{"id":3249,"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas\/3248\/revisions\/3249"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=3248"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"castas_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/vinhosdesetubal.pt\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/castas_category?post=3248"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
